Meet the Woman Behind the camera

Hi there! My name is Laura and I’m a self-taught photographer with a love for bright color, rich tones and the little details that make life feel wonderfully alive.

The name Piquant comes from a word often used to describe food — something sharp, flavorful, lively and full of character. And isn’t that what life is, too? A little sweet, a little unexpected, sometimes messy, always full of flavor. Those are the moments I want to photograph.

It all began with photographing my everyday life — school days, afternoons at home, the ordinary moments that somehow become the ones we treasure most. Before long, others began asking me to photograph their lives, too. What started as a way to preserve my own memories became a way of preserving yours.

My photography is vibrant and colorful, with a touch of film-inspired nostalgia. I’m drawn to images that feel alive — photographs you can almost step back into years later.

Above all, I believe photographs are meant to be lived with, held onto and passed down. To me, photography is about more than documenting a moment; it’s about preserving the flavor of a life.

A philosophy inspired by my beloved aunt: enjoy life’s moments.
